Our principal consultant, Mark Grant, has the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (University of Natal – 1980)
• Bachelor of Commerce with distinction in Business Economics (University of South Africa -1988);
• Master of Business Administration with Distinction (Heriot-Watt University – 2003);
• Master of Science in Digital Currency Summa cum Laude (University of Nicosia – 2020);
• Master of Laws (International Dispute Resolution) with Distinction (Queen Mary University London – 2023)

Mark is a PrQS and PrCPM. He did his professional training in the early 1980s at J Walters & Simpson, a large and well-known national South African practice. He practiced as a professional quantity surveyor and construction project manager over a thirty-four-year period with the firm Grant & Whitfield, which he co-founded in 1988, and left the firm at the end of February 2022.

Mark has served the quantity surveying profession at the highest level in South Africa, inter alia as a board member for over a decade of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (President in 2001), and as a member of the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession for two four-year terms.
